When I was a Child
What I remember from things I had done,
I Jumped in the creek and had lots of fun.
I ran and played with all of my friends,
Pals for a lifetime no matter who wins.
Walking to school together a pair,
Each moment of pleasure that both of us shared.
No worries we had to think about then,
No bills to be paid cause we were just ten.
The pleasures of life the laughs and the fun,
The feeling of joy we got when we'd run.
Jumping the rope or swinging so high,
It seemed I could touch the clouds floating by.
But back down the road are my childhood days,
And outside the window my little child plays.
The games with her friends so wild and fun,
Brings back and reminds me of things I had done.
Blessed be
