Well, I've submitted several poems to them ...a few years ago, but there was no way I was going to pay that much for my poetry in a book. Good thing I'm cheap! I do know a couple people who made the trip for their gathering though. I don't know if it's a scam or not. I figured it was their way to make the money that they give out to the winners. One person I know went there all the way from Belize and actually won $5,000 as a second runner up in one of the contests. Apparently he had a ton of fun at the convention.
