I'm not sure how I feel about this election year. There has been so much trouble with it all I'm not sure how I'll vote. Barak seems like an ok guy and so does McCain. I was excited about Hillary running and even considered voting for her and hoped she would be the candidate for her party but alas...sigh!

Anyway, the thing my husband and I keep hearing about is the 'experience' each candidate has which qualifies this person for the office of president. Ken pointed out, unless you are an incumbent running for a second term, you don't have the experience as a sitting president. Each of them, though they've been in government, House of Rep, Senate, etc, have NO experience being the president. All they can do is imagine what the burden of running an entire government, at the top position, is like.

Otherwise (now that my ranting is over, lol) I don't know. I'm a Democrat, would I vote for Obama simply because he's black and it would make history for him to make the office? probably not. Would I vote for McCain, simply because he's white and a good ole boy? probably not.

I was impressed by Obama during the last election and how he spoke out about the nastiness which accompanies most elections. My impression...I want Hillary!!!! lol Oh well, push come to shove right now, I'd probably vote for Obama simply because he wants to get rid of the nastiness and the good ole boy clique which seems to be what our government has become.

It's too early, still, to say right now. I want a clearer picture of both candidates before I make a definite choice and that will take time. I'll probably be indecisive right up to the point of actually making my vote.

hugs,
Gail
