A few hundred! Scott was assembling eight thousand men. Gilmer could send half that many from Georgia, if necessary. (Is this his thoughts?)
All the Cherokee Guard know of the great force in Tennessee. You have heard the message Scott sent through the Nation.”

Now I must act alone for Kell. I must be on the side of authority, against my best friend.

All in all, I found this fascinating. Is the blue woman an historical fact? I found that most fascinating. I remember reading how Native Americans were armed by sympathizers and how some received their arms by raiding supply wagons. If this woman wasn't in historical records then inventing one was ingenious.
I'm looking forward to reading more of this. Though some of my ancestors were Crow, not Cherokee, still reading anything about what the rest of my ancestors did to them is interesting to me.
hugs,
Gail
