Healers
Hers are dreams, fractured
and broken but
never forgotten,
where in her heart
pools a lake of tears,
still and awaiting
another drop
of her longing
unfulfilled.
His are regrets, layered
atop false pride
he's chosen,
whitewashed forever
without redemption,
cold and muted
are pained
apologies
unspoken.
Theirs is a life, fragile
and needfully
bound together,
healing each wound
as they so find them,
revealing the need
as time opens
