This is a marvelous essay! Thank you Seshendra for sharing your insights with me on ancient Roman poetic theory. The historical persons you refer to in your essay, ie Horace, Longinus, reminds me of the essays by Montaigne, who quotes these figures frequently. I am sorry to hear about the state of the acquisition of knowledge in India. Are you writing then from India? And if you do not have adequate resources there, how do you educate yourself?
