colored pencil is fun to work in - great for illustration. It's kind of funny how I got this. I wanted to paint some little cherubs in the sky of a painting. I thought a doll would be a good model, so I bought this at Toy's R Us. I tied strings to her and hung her from some tree branches in the yard then layed on the grass to take pictures. LOL my neighbors must have thought I finally lost it.
When I came in the house, I sat her on the counter. When I looked at her again, I saw this picture and snapped it.
I had a part time job at Palomar College at the time, working in the copy center. Many students made copies of art and hung them around the room. I had one of her up, and a Woman's Studies professor asked for a copy. She said she represented many ideas she teaches in her Womans Studies course - the housewife / role of woman / plugged in / the Wonder Bread / kitchen / etc...
