Abby's Nocturnal Visit
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
In the early morning hours, our cat Abby, is in the habit of biting my husband's feet. I know this is particularly funny, but I wrote a poem about it and couldn't help laughing as I wrote it.
Abby's Nocturnal Visit
She walks quietly into the cold, dark room
And casually looks around to see obscure images made present by the moon.
Everything seems fine to her, but she moves closer to the wall to hide in the dark.
She must work hard to plan her attack!
Is there something wrong here that makes her back pick?
SHHH! Be Quiet! But all she hears is the little clock tick.
As stealthy as a panther she jumps on the bed,
Then checks out the occupant from foot to head.
This person seems to be sleeping, she might have some fun.
She will take a big bite from his foot and then run!
You see what else can she do to wait for day-light?
She is only a grey cat finding trouble in the night.
