All Hallows Eve

Beware, long shadows grace the land
Apollo bids adieu,
His dying rays have softly tanned
to brown the daylight view.

Beware, the twilight thick and hot
Is fading into dark,
bar now your doors and question not
The mewling howl or bark.
.
Beware, with darkness comes the shade,
the goblins, ghosts and ghouls.
This night alone for it was made,
this night when evil rules.
.
Beware the tortured moon is tossed
upon a cloudy sea,
when mankind out of doors are lost,
no matter where they flee.
.
Beware, across the land will flood
the hell-hounds from the pit.
Their drooling jaws will drink the blood
and gorge themselves on it.
.
Beware, the knock upon your door
demands you pay the price.
You cower there afraid before,
the knock comes twice, and thrice.
.
Beware, you fool beware, beware.
Your fate you now will meet.
From a three foot goblin there,
Shrieking "Twick or Tweet" !

After reading this goulish nightmare, I'll be afraid to answer my door for a week. I'll never trust those little trick or treaters again.

All nicely said, I wouldn't expect less from such talent as yours.

LOL Sartor this is Splendiforous .... absolutely Magnificent. I can see someone is thinking about Halloween. Don't you just love the little tykes that come to your door all dressed up? Well I love the little ones.... but abhor the older ones.... because the little are still innocent...... the older ones .... well they are tainted... with opinions and attitudes. Things I can do without. Meh anyways hope you have the kind of evening you want on ALL Hallowed Eve.
