All I Want

We've surely lost our soul.
All I want to do is write,
Not ask that you extol,
Treasure or indict,
In any way, my word.
So go ahead and say
That you have been angered,
Or I have brightened up your day
With all my views on life.
Remember though, my friend,
It matters what you see,
That in the end,
Each word I write - is me.

Dear Terence,
I have read your poetry, and am now catching up on my commenting, and this is the first. You write with strength, and a catalyst that screams attention. You are very gifted dear, and I love this poem here. You inspire me as well. Keep'm comin!!! Love your work, and again to the community!
Hi, Anna, thanks for your thoughts. Poetry was not something I was introduced to at an early school, I'm pleased that you have the opportunity as you are obviously headed for greater things with your own writing.

Hey TERENCE - very strong write! I like how the piece speaks "This is me and always gon' be me - If you don't like it.... F**K off!" But only in an eloquent manner --- I love the unapologetic honesty of your poem. Very nice write!
