but at least now,
I can see more than before.

I can watch their game
on my TV, listen to them
on the radio. I can feel,
what they’re fighting about.

shouts through the chaos.
An angel,
yet to be winged,
the unborn
searching for victims
lost in the rubble
of a religious war.

You were there when I woke
beside me, the dream returned
from silent voyage, staring up
taking a deep breath,
and I, so glad to know
the comfort of your
presence, kept still
afraid, they might steal you
through my very breath,
left you to sleep.
