The Bars Of A Locked Off World

I find the world outside too be cruel
I lock away in body and mind,
As today and tomorrow renews
Impending future seems so sublime.
I’m crippled by agoraphobia
I step outside and my head will whirl,
All the common outside aromas
Waft through the bars of my locked off world.

I have a yearning I can’t control
Every time I glimpse the world outside,
I want to join the world as a whole
But when I try my innards just die.
I give in too my life so alone
As I retreat too far to unfurl,
Into the world outside I get shown
Through the bars of this little locked world.

I’m trapped within this singular cell
Introverted so far, no return,
Some see an intolerable hell
But for me, I’ve accepted and learned,
That solitude may not always be
An abyss into which you get hurled,
If you don’t care for what you can see
Through the bars of your locked off world.

Lycan that is so true sometimes I feel that way also the world is cruel, hateful, and dirty but the human race only has themselves to blame we let work places close down and move to china and other countries there the wages are zero the government has cause alot of the crime and unemplyment and also letting big compamies gat those larde tax breaks and then pllace more taxes on the regular people. brilliant penning Lycan

Very nicely done. I got a strong sense of what it must be locked in fear of the outside world. I loved the way the words flowed. Thanks for posting.
