Bleeding in Black and White
one step, mission, to hold up no boundaries,
one left missing, now their wondering who found me,
a little suspicion, holding onto the dimlit surrounding,
a heart left eaten, yet for some reason still pounding,
I'll show you a season unlike any we've known,
a blood-drenched winter,
feel the knot on your bones,
I'm bleeding in black and white,
for my blood lust feels like ink,
no matter how low I sink,
you'll re-tell how we all fell,
even the ones still counting.

this is really cool. i like it when a writer shrouds meanings and those meanings can be taken 5 different ways by five different people. i especially liked the line about a half eaten heart. that was an awesome line. i honestly think you would do well writing lyrics. I think you have the knack and the talent for it.

Erik,
Very interesting poem here. I love the myriad of meanings this can take your audience. Twas a walk on the dark side and left me with images to ponder upon.
