Butterflies of Peace ~ Sonnet

BUTTERFLIES OF PEACE ~ SONNET

For through divinities most sacred eyes,
I see the holy Heaven's open wide
and from her cloudy pedestal truth flies
on wings of butterflies from faith inside.

These butterflies will fly endless I know
spreading peace wherever their wings shall go,
cause Heaven's tender tongue told me it's so
through every raindrop, sunray, wind and snow

as peace on wings shall sing familiar songs
that every heart shall dance a joyous tune
and through the flutter-rush each soul belongs,
when it will be on earth as Heaven soon.

I see the butterflies where Heaven lies
and there peace lives through my believing eyes.

Hello Moonchild!

I really do like this poem especially because of the topic of it. I am a huge butterfly fan and I just love them. I've seen a lot of different kinds of butterflies and they are definitely very inspirational and beautiful. With this poem I believe that it captures the beauty of butterflies very nicely and I enjoy your imagery that you have with the butterflies and the butterfly wings.

One of my favorite parts was this below:

through every raindrop, sunray, wind and snow


Anywho, I found this yet another enjoyable read of yours! I look forward to reading your poems you post and to your new poems that you've written. So, I'm glad I came across this poem of yours and thank you for sharing!
