CINQUAIN...anyone?

Cinquain is a short, usually unrhymed poem consisting of twenty-two syllables distributed
as 2, 4, 6, 8, 2, in five lines. It was developed by the Imagist poet, Adelaide Crapsey.

Cinquain Sunset
.
Sunset,
Gold melted red,
Sinking into the sea,
Night covers the world with darkness,
Day ends.
.

Dear Sartor,

This was simply exquisite, and a fine example of this beautiful poetic form. Tis one of my favorites poetic forms, and the one you shared did wonders for my affective domain, and aesthetic visual domain....thank you. Fantabulous!!!

Great work
from a poet
whose words I love to read.
Well-written, good imagery,
Sartor!

And that goes for both of them!

Painted.........of course you can (I've seen your writing) Just count the syllables and make it adhere to some idea.

Painted
can write a poem
that makes it come alive
and lets one find the truth therin
with ease

Saxophone Love IX - Cinquain

notes dance la reverie
flesh pulsating, as I murmur
