"Computer Blues"
"Computer Blues"
We have but one computer
With three of us to use it.
And when I want to get online,
To chat or see a friend of mine,
Or play some games that's really fine,
My other halves will choose it.
Thinking they can read my mind
I whisper words in sorrow.
If I could only have a chance,
I"d be so happy that I would dance,
Them speaking only in a trance,
You'll get your turn tomorrow.
Waiting patiently enough
I go tapping with my pen.
For I know that they are lying,
As I stand and feel like crying,
Even though I'm really trying,
As they sit right there again.
I keep a constant vigil
Well they must get up to pee.
And then I'll grab the empty chair,
Because they know that they must share,
Well hey, I think it's only fair,
As I cackle out in glee.
Now THEY sit there with twirling thumbs
As boared as evening news.
Tapping, clapping, snapping, turning,
Stewing, chewing, yearning, churning,
Itching, twitching, begging, burning,
With those crazy computer blues.
Blessings
Sally
