It’s still warm

Pat the sofa later
Let the hollow stay longer
On the silky cushions

Let the blinds stay folded
The sunbeam remains bright
Casting soothing shadows

The bud is not fully bloomed
Hold the florist’s shears
Just for one more day

Let us not be eager
To shut the gate

I wish sometimes that we really could stop time.
We do to some extent by noticing the little things and through memories but it eventually always does move relentlessly onward.
