The Crossroads.




You are at the crossroads,
there is one road that's right.
If you take the high road,
you would be the Knight.

If you fear of monsters,
you'll never travel far.
Slay those demon dragons!
Be big, you know you are!

Drowsily and sleeping,
coming round the curve
to find you're at the crossroads!
Tightly hold your nerve.

Backing off from danger
is Satan's way to hell.
by holding high your honor,
you'll break that fearful spell.

Faster yet and faster,
your time is going by!
make a quick decision, --
the low road or the high.

One way you see is easy,
the other tough and charred.
Flash your light and thunder,
then choose the road that's hard.

Beat off all your demons
before it is too late.
You are at the crossroads,
it's simply never fate!

George, this is an excellent piece and it tells us a timeless story of life's ups and downs, trying to make it to our pot of gold...never getting anywhere with taking the easy way out. As they say "the harder you work for it, the more precious it will be"...well I think somebody said that! lol! This reminds me of The Pilgrims Progress a bit.
