Do Not Bid Adieu Adieu

Please do not bid adieu adieu,
thy song hath always led me home.
Return to those, which once was new,
please do not bid adieu adieu.
Oh Nightingale! Thy voice was true;
it's known not where your heart did roam.
Please do not bid adieu adieu,
thy song hath always led me home.

Thanks erik:

I always thought that John Keats was one of the GREAT poets of his time.
I love the great poets of the past. John Keats, Robert Frost, Langston Hughes, Edgar Allan Poe, Emily Dickinson. ect. ect.

And of course the crazy, zany antics from Dr. Suess. Boy was he Nonsensical! But he was the very first poet who inspired me to write poetry in the first place. (when I was only 9 yrs. old.)

Thanks for the comment
Blessings

You're very welcome Scott:

I wonder just how many people Dr. Suess has inspired to write poetry.
I believe EVERY great poet inspires others with their works. I also believe that that's how most of us are born to write in the first place, by the others who write before us.

After I was inspired by Dr. Suess at the age of 9, I was inspired by Edgar Allan Poe at the age of 19. Both are indeed great poets yet so different in their poetry it's unreal. I think that is how I became so utterly twisted myself.

Thanks for your comments
Blessings
