A beautiful poem, great imagery and well-written but has too many syllables to be called haiku. I know that haiku comes in many shapes and forms but all have 17 syllables or less.
excuse my stupidity or naivete or however you choose to describe it lol. I was under the misguided impression that it was 5 words 7 words 5 words...not syllables damnit.
