EQUINOX OF FALL ~ BALLAD

On twilight equinox of fall
mazes of stars in Heaven's shoot
down to Neptune's watery grave
and depths of dead rise no more mute
and depths of dead rise no more mute

and one by one the stars fade out,
the sky, of silver, destitute
and watery rain-red leaves blow
on the winds falling soft and mute,
on the winds falling soft and mute.

Hello Moonchild!

I really like the imagery you have in your poem with the stars, Neptune, and especially the last two lines in the last stanza which kind of reminds me a lot of fall with the wind just becoming soft and mute. Anywho, this is short and sweet poem that packs a lot of imagery and great images in it even though it isn't that long. I enjoyed reading it and thanks for sharing!

Thank you Sarah
Sometimes a Ballad doesn't have to be very long
to say what you need or want to say.
I appreciate your reply and am glad you enjoyed, thanks hon*hugs*
