Friendship (Lanturne)

A lanturne was given this name because it is shaped
like a Japanese lantern when it is center aligned.
It has 5 lines with a syllable count of 1, 2, 3, 4, 1,
and can be rhyming or not.

Dear Tree,

As I have said, the poems you adorn us with are like gettin' candy at the store. These were brilliant, and I oh so love the Japanese forms. They are beautiful, and you do beautiful work my friend. I am learning from you, and you will see one day all what you have taught me. Like Ms Jeez has stated, you have lit my way as well. Not only are they beautifully scribed, but beautiful in form, and beautiful to gaze upon. I just envisioned this scribe on rice paper in ink, with dainty white, pink, and lavender flowers painted in ink and a wash, to compliment the write, with a hummingbird tasting the glory. Perhaps even rolled, adorned with a fancy Japanese ribbon, and placed in a beautiful bottle. That is what is intended in Japanese scribe and paintings. Thank you for sharing this Ms Tree, stunning, and my new word....Scrumpshalicious!!!!!!!!!!!! LOL!!!

Tree that was absolutely beautiful! Of course, Painted's delisciously descriptive "wrap" made it all the more delectable!! Wow! Painted! I feel I'm in exalted company between you two

Tree you inspired me to write a Lanturne, and it had to be about you, since you have introduced me to a whole new art form within the bounds of poetry.

the bold
beautiful
and caring scribe
Ah!
Just
once to
be all that
she is to me
Yes!
Who
can hope
to compare
to this icon?
None!

Oh Therese!
You may think me silly but I have to tell you that when I read this, I actually had tears, I was so moved by your words! It is just sooooo beautiful!
You also have the form down PERFECTLY! I cannot believe that you have never written in this form before! Truly Awesome!!
