Glove
In the midst of chaos
a rushing sea sounds
where dreams high tide,
roll over as bed covers.
~
My midnight sanctuary
aloft to cocoon comfort
sheds in miasma of inner mesh,
a hatch to breathless elements.
Sunset spot lamps souls at bay
strewn as sheet wraps,
unawakened to hush-a-bye.
~
Lifted in loves arms, I'm
coddled as fragile and broken
carried away, unconscious
over fields of timeless shore.
A black nightgown
folds to catch moonlight
a glove to shelter bind.
