GREEN ~ RONDELETTO

Summer plays green
to a distant trill of songbirds.
Summer plays green
from which the spring has shed its sheen,
too green to describe with mere words,
not I, but maybe nature’s birds.
Summer plays green,
grass melody wind strummed,
finely tuned and pitch hummed.
