TO HAVE LOVED

Opague drops of love's pained sorrow
visit this moonless night to dance,
yet my heart shall laugh tomorrow
thankful we both grasped the chance;
To live and have no taste of love,
it's sultry smile and heated tears,
is to have set one's self above,
imprisoned firmly by false fears;
Thankful for all emotion wrought,
each memory a priceless pearl,
the value of the heart well taught,
our sacred waltz upon this world.

Biography: I am an 18 year old college student. Currently majoring in Bio- Pre- Med, with a minor in Psychology. I truly enjoy the art of poetry; however, unfortnately, I have not been able to dedicate as much time to it as I would like.
