The Iron Lady
The Iron Lady *

The Iron Lady, Hillary,
has fallen short of victory.
She ran her race but now agrees
she lost too many primaries
and will not be the nominee.

So, now she wants to be V.P.
Obama says there is no ‘we’,
(he knows that he could not appease
the Iron Lady.)

Her life’s full of uncertainty -
back to the House or then, maybe
a post that takes her overseas
where they’ll appreciate that she’s
the Iron Lady.



* I know Maggie Thatcher was well-known as The Iron Lady but I think HRC also fits the bill?

Ah yes...thanks to the telly we have seen so much of the battle between Obama and Hillary...and they're on the same side. She does come across as a strong lady...
It's interesting to watch US politics unfold. Very different lead up here for the same result...we all end up with a politician leading us.

Thank you for the comment, Lindsay. It's been a ruthless campaign so far by both of our parties and sure to get meaner. Fun to watch even though it's a very serious election this time.
