Lake Mendota

To escape the soup less bowl of blended minds and culture
I rest upon the banks of history’s birth and death of land
Watching the ever moving waters torment the shore lines
Adorned with boulders to protect itself from the rough blows of aquatic fiery
Splashing its scorching wet being upon the sun heated rocks,
It sizzles out a message to all who dare to come close enough to touch
Risking being plunged into the waters story, grasped by its secrets
Held closely as it seeps its life into the emerged body
Attentive to the song of the water,
Each drop a note of a song,
Each ripple a chorus of voices,
Each wave an ensemble of orchestrated song
Splashing upon the shore, waiting to be heard
Daring one to come close enough to hear
to be enveloped with in the water and drowning in its song
I eagerly offer myself to the music
Stripping me of my clothes like a diary stripped of its lock.
Vulnerable and willing I let the music read the pages of my heart and tare apart the binding….in the water. The pieces float away.
replaced by an essence of calm given to me by nature.
Mother earth in her liquid form has held me close and kissed away all binds.
Floating….I am free

LIL FLOW - Loving this piece so very much... You describe the essence of being in Mother Nature's grasp: FREE ---- Reminds me of a poem I once wrote (Freedom & The Inmate)

Very eloquent flow you shown - I love the way the storyline just melds into the principle of freedom... It's like you let go, only to be embraced by freedom.

Very nice write - I'm so glad you shared it with us!
Thanx,

Jacquii.
