Always hovering
on our faces, up front and center
taking in breaths or puffing out frustration
causing deep suffering
lashing out
sliding into a sneer
gossiping unheeding to hide the fear
now it’s not just over the fence or on the phone
but email, IM, blogs and more
getting the fingers involved to do the talking
feels less restrictive, freedom from decorum
silently but just as deadly
dripping bright red precious blood
carving you to pieces like a knife from the hood

I really liked the first one much better.
This one seems to digress from lips to hateful words, which is a whole different subject.
Maybe I'm just too fond of happy endings!
