Visionary

On this dark side of God's eternity,
"Expect no love to last", it has been said.
"Tis born as star-flakes, not as wave on sea".
Each day the firmer stuff of stars has fled.
Youth weeps to find first love has gone its way;
Its passion fixed upon one certain face,
Requiring love bound in one form should stay;
Convinced there is no way for its replace.
While love, unbounded, hopeful in repose,
Thru bitter or closed will cannot be seen.
It waits for human readiness to flow,
Always retaining its enchanting sheen.
Tho first love's loss takes luster from her fame,
Love is not lost, nor given twice the same.

Oh wow, I loved this one. I have felt that way, I know exactly and understand what this poem means. It was beautiful to read, and the use of old English was nice too. Excellent work I must say.
