Natural Awe
Crystal white melts into
Emerald Green.
Shifting sands turn to a warm
Golden hued Brown.
Amber brown drifts up
into cooling air,
The Crystalline white
Falls again.
Predictabilty, stability, safety...
These are the things they represent.
Yet each one carries danger,
in form of wind, rain, storm.
Such beauty and wonder is seen in these things...
Why then do so many not see?
Why then can they not hear?
Why then, does the wind,
Fall on deaf ears?

whether people pay attention to disaster wasn't the message,
you underlined it with why don't people see whats obvious,
the sky, the wind, the trees, all the things that are our world,
very nice poem

Sealiah, I really adore poems about nature…my favorite thing…and there’s SO much of it to appreciate and absorb and write about!
I like the last stanza because there are many people who are caught up in their own existence or pain or their own little world to really see what is all around them...while if they would only take the time, sometimes there is healing in the beauty that God has spread out around us on this stupendous canvas of earth.

Dear Sealiah,
This is simply breath-taking. You say you normally do not write in this style, and I am so glad you decided to explore. Your muse swayed you to write this beautiful piece of nature, of our forces around us, which are greater than us, and can be aesthetic, as well as dangerous. These forces are not only dangerous but a necessity to sustaining life. Wonderful concept that lets the reader ponder on the beauty, then the danger, then the unanswered qeustions of such magnificent forces. Thank you for sharing this Sealiah.
