"Olive Ewe"

He gave her a sheep painted green,
The strangest thing she'd ever seen,
It made her heart shift
to receive such a gift,
But what could his thoughtfullness mean.

The grin on his face wildly grew,
Just to see her confused it was true,
For on Christmas day
she heard him to say
Remember my dear olive ewe.

Hey SALLY - Limerick is one of my favorites - especially around the holiday season... This one is cute - but has a distinct message intact...

I would take it to mean "olive ewe" as a means of reaching out with LOVE. Not of the sexual variety, but rather of the "everlasting brotherhood/sisterhood, friendship" type... An "olive branch" persee

Would do the world a bit of good to remember the essence of Christmas is more than Black Friday's and seeing who can buy the most expensive Xmas gift lol

Enjoyed this one - hope I didn't read to much into it lol
