A Spring Evening Lullaby
The sounds of spring wanders softly,
Through the chilly night;
As a soft breeze weaves the lace curtains,
In a slow dance with moonlight.
.
A whispered song from the nightingale,
Sails on the twilight breeze;
The fragrance of the spring lilac blossoms,
Lingers softly, sweetly in the air.
.
Luminous from a dusky sky,
Is the languishing harvest moon;
Its moonbeams shine upon my bed,
As it dances across the room.
.
On this cool spring breeze,
Rambles the whistle of a train;
As distant thunder rumbles,
From a spring storm.
.
On the gloomy horizon,
Lightning flashes across the night sky;
Gentle raindrops start to kiss the rooftop,
Singing an evening lullaby.
