In a quiet pristine valley
Enclosing Harold’s Creek,
I walked the tracks in forest
With a flora that’s unique.
Today I quietly tread these tracks,
My feet move stealthily.
I could not believe I saw the prize
That grazed ahead of me!
There stood graceful beauty.
I must have been down wind,
For feeding went on unconcerned
As I became positioned,
Slowly lifting to take aim.
My trigger finger bends.
The gentle deer was in my sights…
I shot with my camera lens.
