"Steam Will Rise"

Steam Will Rise

Apple strudel, coffee black,
Pancakes piled into a stack.
Cooling shelves hold fresh baked pies,
From cakes to bagels, steam will rise.

Winter mornings cool and crisp,
Strain to hear the whispers whisp.
Solar streams slice through the skies,
Melts the pond, and steam will rise.

Motor engine's sick 'tis true;
Has caught the vehicular flu.
The walk to work's a bad surprise,
And from one's ears, hot steam will rise.

Evening shadows, daylight's spent,
Bath is drawn with flowers scent.
Soothing smells will close one's eyes,
And from the bubbles, steam will rise.

Blessings
Sally

Steam rises from many places and it seems you have found most. I chuckled to myself as I thought......She missed Yellowstone..........A delightful set of rhymes and I commend you on your writing skills. I wish you well.

Your feedback is well appreciated.

lasher: I am very glad you enjoyed Steam will Rise It makes my heart full of joy when writers like yourself incourage me to keep writing with your comments.

Jeez: I agree with you, The weather is turning colder and the more steam and warmth we can get is well worth the comfort.

Sartor: Again your comments indeed make me smile. Yellowstone oh my gosh You're absolutley correct. How could I've forgotten such a beautiful place, with lots of hot steam.

Thanks again all of you.
