Still Dreaming
Early morning chores are my favorite, a cup of coffee, sugar, milk. The back yard awake with birdsongs and butterflies. Two jays argue in the pecan tree. A hummingbird searches the lemon, dances in the sprinkler. A miniture rainbow stretches over wet grass on early sunlight. Fences covered in morning glories make bugles for garden fairies, secluding life. I make rounds, water porch plants, remove dead roses, pick up fallen fruit. No cares, no worries, no house, kids, job, or life - a dream continued, nature’s attendant, guardian of the blooms and thirsty fruit. I sip my coffee.
Warm morning sunlight
Dewy grass under bare feet
Water can sprinkles

Very good. I love that picture you painted for us. Tommorrow morning as I sip my chocalate silk blended vanilla carmel favored coffe at work, I'll think about where I'ld rather be.
