Summer's Child~


~SUMMER'S CHILD~

Summer winks her ashen
eyes in sun flame modesty
flirting with lemon-drop
sun rays in sun-spun majesty.

Her blazon breath of august
glimmer glow burns the
currents of a
chilly zephyr blow

as her butter-colored hair
mirrors sunlight's gold
reflection draping Mother
Earth in a fancy fool's affair,
vieling her in a xanthic glare.

She, as rain clouds,
cries pearl teardrops as
her heart beats thunder and
lightning rages in her eyes
with fury of storm-struck skies.

Her fingers like sun rays
slice the sky as mandarin
dusk bleeds through slits in
Mother Earth's malachite eye.

The sunbathed one with craven
locks and hellberry red lips
creating suns in skies
with the gleam of her smile,
kindling their fiery fury
with rain storms in her eye is
summer's child born of passion wild.

Karen,
You've written a lovely poem. This is my favorite verse.

It describes the picture beautifully.
