Terror Within My Soul
The air is hot and almost unbreathable under the bright Egyptian sun
Here I stand in a place thousands of years old
Anticipation enters my soul feeling like a ton
This feeling makes my blood run cold.

I slowly walk into the tomb as I desecrate this holy place
Thinking of all the years a mummy laid here
Seeing where grave robbers have been, such a waste
Thinking of all the memories within these walls, I start to feel fear.

Feeling as if I am being watched these feelings I must stop
The fear and terror must dissipate
These awful feelings I must not adopt
I will not let my feelings seal my fate.

Terror and horror within my soul dwells
There is no reason for this terror I possess
Trying to climb out of terror's deep dark well
Scared am I, I must confess.

I will try and take hold of my emotions
So the fear and terror will go away
I want to go outside and feel the warmth of the sun
To get away from this horrid place of decay

I have had that feeling many times...and I always follow what I feel. In the presence of what we cannot see with our eyes, one must listen to what is whispered to their spirit. I also work at times as an amature Archeologist and have taken myself to many 'digs' at sites and just as suddenly upon my arrival turned around and came home...Great work with this presentation.
