Time and Tide

Time travels in haste,
Tide sings in ebb and flow.
Clock goes round apace,
To memory my heart ticks slow.

Hours passed, your face unaware,
Stories set sail on a silvery night.
Minutes elapsed, a gaze endeared,
Smiles bloomed on whispers spreading wide.

Seconds froze, a heartbeat missed,
In your eyes loomed the lost angel.
The moment I received your kiss,
A duet crescendoed off from a solo.

Time and tide waits,
For the ebb to subside;
Time and tide waits,
For the flow to rise.
