Icon14 Tuesday Morning

The nights go on forever

If you will only let it

Tuesday Afternoon is never

Something you can forget

If you will only let it

The soundtrack of your life

Something you can forget

Amid the toll of daily strife

The soundtrack of your life

“The Days Of Future Passed”

Amid the toll of daily strife

The sounds of questions asked

“The Days Of Future Passed”

Tuesday Afternoon is never

The sounds of questions asked

The nights go on forever

Hiya Mike!! Neat effect here... I think I saw some form like this somewhere, but I must be a little scatter-brained right now cause I can't remember =) Some very neat ideas too.. I'm gettin' all caught up in whimsical thoughts here... So fun =) I think my favourite is the second stanza, just cause of what its saying... It really is pretty easy to forget sometimes, I'm bad for that =)

So hey - why Tuesday? hehe... Think I'd prefer Saturdays =)

Thanks for sharing, and keep on writing!

Smiles!,
~Serenity~

Hi serenity. This is a pantoum, I just learned it from my daughter who's a year older than you. It is also an ode to a classic rock album and classic rock band "The Days Of Future Passed" by The Moody Blues. "Tuesday Afternoon" and "Nights In White Satin" are major songs off of the album. As this was recorded in 1967, it is easy to forget even for the people who love it. It's my job to make sure that doen't happen, lol. Also to introduce a whole new generation to thier great music. This album was recorded with the London Philamonic and is a great treasure.Listen to either or both of those two songs and you will know!
