Up And Way Down

The forces of good were very strong within
But the minions of the dark said, “Come, look at sin.”
Being such an enlightened soul, I just knew
This was simply a Hell of a way to have fun
And after all, it is said, “To thine own self be true.”
And in my dark paradise, I was oh so cool and fine
The pleasures waiting there were ever so divine
Never figured out why I was left lonely, surrounded by night
