The View

The vista is a feast for the eyes
A brilliant atmospheric fantasy
As the sun leisurely peregrinates
Over the horizon
In the resplendent colorations
The sky mutating from the mid-night blue to
A vivid golden-orange and a radiant blue
With white clouds
The crimson altering between light and dark
~
As night languishes into dawn,
Making way for a new day
I see the luminous greens, the fiery red,
Luscious lavender blossoms
I wish could halt time just for a few moments
So I could absorb and toast this beauty
This newly created beauty within my sight
So that I may remember nature's beauty
In the coming winter
