When The Sun Turns To Glass (acrostic)

When The Sun Turns To Glass

W hen the sun turns to glass, bright prisms will bow,
H aze colored rainbows collect in a prow.
E nticing to enter, inviting to pass,
N ow stained into color and bonded in brass.

T angible gold embosses the floor,
H anging precisely where sun streams implore;
E xciting to ponder too great to ignore.

S unbeams slice gently through stained colored glass,
U plifting performers delightfully dance;
N ectar in colors will surely enhance.

T asteful concoctions are put on display
U nder the sun in the eve of the day.
R ainbow relections adhere to the light,
N urture`s in beauty before edge of night,
S uspended in awe, a form of delight.

T ouched by the breezes, another encore;
O nly the wind can add something more.

G reatness surrounds when curtains are drawn.
L ady Aurora the Goddess of Dawn,
A ll welcome her warmly before she is gone.
S pecial is she, through the window she casts,
S plashes of color, when the sun turns to glass.

I love the acrostic structure and the concept. They work beautifully together here. Very descriptive adjectives gives this poem enthusiasm, if you will. The title alone grabs the readers attention. As one who does stained glass work, I find it very enriching and satisfying to see a poem, honor the relationship of the Sun, with stained glass, very unique! Great piece!

A work of art

What a beautiful poem. I am impressed by your mastery of language, meter and rhyme, but to achieve all this AND fit it in to the Acro without sacrificing anything...this is truly a sculpture of poetry.

i admire labors of rhyme that seem so unforced & naturales como this here. it was all so wonderfully orchestrated, yet simplistic & the liquid fluidity descending down page made for my eyes to smile. glad to have shared in this. one-

Hey SALLY - very nicely written acrostic poem - Very beautiful actually:

Quote:
E nticing to enter, inviting to pass,
N ow stained into color and bonded in brass.
I hated to break that stanza up LOL - but those lines are just so very poignant - seems that you talk of more than the "sun"

Your style and eloquence and use of diction really shine in this poem - I enjoyed this one immensely and look forward to more from you!

Very nice sharing - Thanx

Jacquii.

Kim: I love stained glass windows and when the sun shines through them they are so breathtaking. Thanks for your comments

Amazon Poet: Your kind words melted my heart strings. Thank You

Tanax: A big thanks for your kind words. Stained glass is so beautiful.

Ariono-Jovan Labu: I am so glad that I could make you smile. I try to bring some kind of emotion with ever poem I write. Thanks.

MsJacquii: ( Enticing to enter inviting to pass, Now stained into color and bonded with brass.) It's like being invited to step into the sunlight where the stained glass colors are
reflected on the floor. get it?

Thanks to everyone for your wonderful comments.

Blessings
