In the Woods
In the Woods
We're finally there,
you and I,
underground
in the woods
where ants gnaw roots.
They're ugly, creepy,
have no eyes.
~
But we don't
mind.
We're having tea,
and I have a new hat.
The grass is mowed,
and I'm sleeping
near where the babies
look out.
~
You brought your cap
and baseball bat.
I can catch
In my mitt,
and throw
like a girl,
some.
~
On the green grass
above the roots,
In the clearing
near Hansel and Gretel's cottage.
~
Those mean boys
Can't find us,
Nobody knows about this place.
There's sun all year,
and the ants have no eyes.

Wonderful images Jolie.
This is playful and I enjoyed immensily.
I can't believe no one's commented yet
so I will be the first. I like the parts
about the ants....hehe Well done!
