The Works Of Poe
Black and gothic
expelling ink,
dark phantom brings
from feathered quill,
words of terror
a tell tale heart,
morbid mood swings
grotesque and shrill.
Ravens knocking
'ere go the chimes,
into the night
of bells, bells, bells.
Indigo shades
of rhythmic rhymes,
great depths of fright
arabesque tales.
Melancholy,
the works of Poe,
great urgent need
by candlelight
expressed his thoughts
exposed his woe,
for thoses who read
his tales by night.
Blessings
Sally

this is pretty good,
I like Poe a little,
can't deny his greatness,
this poem was pretty well executed although it kinda read like a list of poes works
He does indeed write from a dark perspective...and it is overlooked by many today, but most want to forget the darker aspects of life and our observations of it. I love Poe's works. He expressed himself and exposed himself in his works...just as we do here in this site. Yeah, I love what you have done here...seems you know him well.
