Years Ago Now

shadows askewed, falling upon curtains in wait.
Empty perfume bottles and flowers hung,
this old room brings nostalgia.
A place I was so long ago,
detachment is no option.
Apart of me it is still,
I am here years ago now.
lying in wait thinking of being
somewhere else, but i think
as I am here a time before, theres no
place Id rather be.
This room is you, mysterious and empty.
years ago........Now you've changed and I'm away.
I cant cross a mirror that reflects my mistakes.

A very nostalgic poem.
It was well thought and cleverly written.
I really enjoyed, thanks, very good!

One bottle half empty
of malachite tears
shards of glass potpourri
I was once there
long ago paints like now
new sand of mirrors
mistakes play on piano
I am still here
nostalgia opens
the curtain once more
and I am
center stage

Beautiful write and vivid images. I loved it! Thank you for sharing.

Kim
