I want some figgy pudding damn you

What a lovely song,
Bring me some figgy pudding,
so sad no grammy,

I sung well for you,
so gimme your BMW,
okay fine, fruit cake.

this was inspired by my desire to be silly,
plus say something about Christmas,
I've never got anything form singing at Christmas,
this poem reflects that.

Winter

Good morning Winter.
Showing your beauty- Snow.
It makes us feel good.

Once a year, brings smiles..
Fallin flakes- pretty and wet.
Good night, "White Season."

This is inspired by the way the winter snow affects me.
It manifests itself in so ways - calm, hard, light or heavy- plenty of mood swings throughout the season, yet always beautiful to watch.

Frozen in beauty
White snowdrifts of December
A scene of delight

Pine cones have fallen
From the evergreen branches
Now covered in snow.

Perennial bulbs
'Neath the snow lying dormant
Waitng for spring.

Snow crystals sparkle
Early morning dew glistens
Both kissed by the sun.

Sculptured stained windows
Jack Frost painted with great care
A pane in the glass.

I was inspired to write these when one morning I looked through my front window, And saw the beautiful evergreens along the mountain side covered from Mother Natures cold blanket of snow.

Blessed be
Sally aka Forestadwn

Thanks Erikestabrook

I had never written Haiku before these are my first. I didn't realize they were double Haiku couplets. Thanks for your feedback. It is always greatly appreciated.

Blessings
Sally

S'NO PROBLEM

Uniquely, snow flakes;
flakes mush, mush melts,
melts hearts, freezes feet ....

White out, when needed,
our electricity runs
white out of power ....

For some reason we always romanticise snow - so here we have the good side, with the downside also to the fore - I like to write from an askew viewpoint !

Love
Alan
