GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am seriously loving your Cinderella Diary! That is an AWESOME write MS KIM - I'm kinda surprised by the ending. I was thinking WTF - where did "Bug eyes, prickly pear - add scorpions and snails" come from - then read the last stanza = BRILLIANT

Sometimes I wish I could have that type of mindset LOL - Nobody'd be fuckin' with MsJ then eh?

Nice write girl - Original AND Novel idea!

Jacquii.

3rdly and certainly not least... A Huge THANK YOU to GRUMPS for posting this challenge. 'Twas fun to say the least. It's always AWESOME to see the different styles that can be evoked with just 10 words! Nice share! Question: Where the hell is your challenge response???

Jacquii.

Ms Jacquii...I read your Masterpiece several times, and to quote you would mean quoting the entire poem. You did some very intricate filigree there that I cannot imagine even beginning to scribe. Guess that's why you are the Posey Goddess, and I am here to serve you......LOL!!!! Love Ya'

P.S. Yes, Thank you Alan for putting up such a challenge. I am pleased with my results, and twas quite the challenge, as was Ms Jacquii's #6. I feel more comfortable now about experimenting, and spreading my poetic wings.

Well, I was out all weekend, but...!

Ahem! "International Poetry Goddess"!! Wow, when your muse comes back she comes back with a huge bang! and she boldly goes where no "man" has gone before... Rumpe's one of my favorite men...of all wiley little men with huge egos, that is!

Ms. J, this is a super awesome write...takes the mind off on a fairytale trip but with hard twist on the modern connotations, for sure. You got game, lady...uh, sorry...that would be Your Highness, International Poetry Goddess!! I love the seedy roads this read takes a trip down...drags reality into the fanciful.

GODFATHER’S OFFER

Comeuppance, come tuppence
I’ll give you an alternative,

Gotta love the last line especially GRUMPS:

the quick will never find you ....

I pride myself in my procrastination... Won't say anymore on that topic LOL
But truly loving the simplicity of your piece - There's some knowledge there and a knowing, --- Perhaps an offer??? - Sounds nice to me!

Anyway - Never one to mince words are we?

Nice share! I look forward to the next challenge - PLUS = I'll be able to notify Members via PM ----- Finally!

ps - thanx for the poem

Dear Jacquii,

An "offer" all right - one I cannot refuse - the "quick" as opposed to the "dead" ! I had thoughts of concrete foundations and of lime ....

Dear Kim,

So sorry, I think I missed yours cuz I was cross-posting, yes, what a vivid imagination, and showing the darker underbelly of that "innocent" beauty, Cinderella.

Don't know if you want any crit, there are a few places where you might choose to make changes, but as a quick response, it is brilliant.

I am so pleased that we have so many responses, and that one comment - about feeling more confident of ones trying new things, THAT is what it's all about. Not to mention handling a certain person' swriter's block !

Love
Alan

keylime pie and cement shoes?
jealous fiends and concrete rocks at the bottom of the Atlantic, possibly some pieces in the Indian and an eyeball in the Arctic?

Anyway - sounds intriguing, this offer of yours LOL

Just jokes of course

Jacquii.

ps ALAN - I think Kim posted her Cinderella piece in the Miscellaneous section.
