Thea, this is a beautiful poem, well written, but I'm afraid I just don't understand it. The reason why I ask is because I've read this poem three times, read it out loud twice and turned off the tv and read it again.
Are you talking about childbirth? I'm working on a childbirth scene and it occurred to me that the two sentences in the poem could reflect that. I don't often have the problem of not understanding what I'm reading, lol, so could you please help me to understand?
hugs,
Gail
Joy erupts within my breast (the joy of giving birth)
explosions of abundant selflessness
laughter at the thought of sun
overwhelmingly, elatedly over-run
life just thoroughly begun (child just come into the world)
come child come.
enrich the senses with tastes of bliss
watch this, see this
vim with purity
the most enjoyment spawned from immaturity
breathe leisurely
and happily be without thee. (child in mother's arms at last)
