"REFLECTIONS OF WINTER."

"REFLECTIONS OF WINTER." By Joyce Ann Geyer. (2006).

I like this Poem. It has got 5 QUARTETS Stanzas with Rhyming Patterns, which follow AABB Rhyme Form in all stanzas, if I am not wrong. Comments, please.

Silvery icicles glimmer on the branches.
Deer hooves leave their prints in patches.
Crunching sounds on pure white snow.
Bucks protect the gentle whitetail doe.

God´s amazing season dressed in sparkling white,
Glistens to the eye in the bitter cold night.
Wind swirling snowdrifts aside the hill.
At times, you can hear the siren shrill.

In the daylight clear soft azure skies
Creaking half frozen waters sound like cries.
Natures process while seedlings sleep,
While small rabbits and squirrels leap.

Nature all around us in a deep winters rest.
Other smaller animals snuggle in their nest.
An owl keeps watch for a stray creature,
Wide eyed and nocturnal a distinctive feature.

Star filled skies shedding moonlight afar,
As if a night light as the North Star.
These are wintry cold freezing nights,
Awaiting Golden Rays of Spring Lights.

Author: Joyce Ann Geyer. (2006).
It is a lovely Poem that Rhymes good. I wish, I could write like her. Sincerely, Starry.

I agree with you, I really do like this poem as well! What a beautiful start to it with the imagery of the first line... immediately took me right into the poem and made me want to read more. I want to read more of this author's work and research her some to come across more of her work. I feel like I'm in winter with reading it and I think it's a very enjoyable read, thank you for sharing it with us!
