Her dark liquored eyes,
Lips dipped in morphine.
Opening my eyes to a love unseen.
Masking her heart with a disguise.

My gaze meeting hers the first time,
breathless, we both stared.
Intentions foreseen, she really cared.
Her heated flesh; Inadvertently sublime.

I reached towards her to touch her soul.
Recoiling in pain as I was burned.
My mind unraveled and my thoughts turned.
She was an angel of sin; Impurity, (at first) the goal.

Time grasped us in it's hold.
As my presence fractured her intention.
I brought light to her, and received affection.
Never knowing what she had been previously told.

Her love was tainted by the past.
But I possessed relinquished love.
The kind only Gods bless us with, from above.
They told us both we would never last..

A Demon of Grace and an Angel of Sin?
Love can prevail over all, but one must fight to win.
